Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Council Bluffs/Omaha

Great value for a quick overnight. Got a single queen room on first floor (we requested) and had a pleasant night’s rest. Clean room, nice desk staff. Did not partake in any amenities for this trip.

This is a hidden gem! We stay her about 4-5 times a year when we come to Omaha. The staff are great, rooms clean, and this hotel is right by downtown, the highway, and so much more. Thank you so much for always providing a great stay! We will be back 3-4 more times in 2026!

Hotel was clean and night staff was very nice. The reading nook by the window is cute. As of right now I was told none of the single queen rooms have a microwave or a fridge, so that was pretty inconvenient, esp with kids. The room is rather small but the room was clean and breakfast was decent. I feel like the hotel is going in a good direction with the remodel just hasn’t quite made it there.

Great hotel with clean rooms, wonderful staff, and breakfast. Room isn’t large, but has all you need. We were on a quick road trip and just wanted a place to sleep. We had a dog so they put us on the first floor next to the door. Bonus points!

Nice lobby, free breakfast, Cox cable in the rooms, bed comfortable, mini fridge in room. Great room rates for a hotel. Pillows are thin, may need to ask for additional pillows. Walls are very thin. You'll hear everyone around you clearly.

Room and facility is decent for the price. My only issue was the check in process. I did the advance online check in. Normally this means you stop at the desk and get your key. The desk attendant could not get the computer system to work and it took 15-20 minutes before I got my key. I understand that glitches can happen but there is room for improvement on this process.

This was a nice hotel. They are a great choice if you are traveling with dogs. I highly recommend them for people with dogs. The breakfast was also very nice. I will stay here again.

The room was comfortable. The rooms are smaller than in standard hotels, which is why this is a Microtel. It is sufficient in size for 1 to 2 people. There is a window seat, which provides a sense of extra space, especially while viewing the outdoors from the comfort of our room. Our room faced away from the Interstate, and the Microtel is several blocks away from the Interstate, so it is quiet. The large screen TV worked well. The desk is directly beneath the TV. The breakfast was very good. The offerings included biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles, cold cereal (raisin flakes, corn flakes, and one other cereal type), bagels and cream cheese and several other bread items, yogurt, apples and bananas, instant grits and instant oatmeal. No eggs were offered at this time, but this is probably due to the increased cost of eggs. The entrance to the parking lot of the Microtel is a bit deceptive by auto. Presumably, most drivers are coming to the Microtel from Interstate 29 or from Omaha, as we were. Approaching from the west, it is a little tricky to find the entrance to the parking lot. One must go down to the street that leads to the AMC Theater and then make a U-turn because there appears to be no other entrance to the parking lot. Signs at or near the parking lot entrance would be very helpful, especially at night or when there is snow. For those spending time in the Omaha area with a vehicle, this is an economical and convenient stay.
